What's in the mouth? What to order

The Stage-1 implant connection is a locking taper with no rotational index (non-engaging), so the implant is restored at the abutment level. Titan does not carry scan bodies for any implant system.

Low (1.5mm) abutment with an octagon on top, for screw-retained work. Remove it with the .062'' Hex Driver.

Restoring an original indexed abutment (RDS only): analog, plastic sleeve, titanium locking sleeve — sleeves include a Ti screw; torque screw to 20Ncm.

Stage-1 is a single-stage, tissue-level implant: the smooth neck (1.8mm or 2.8mm collar) passes through the tissue. The 4.8mm implant was made on both connections — RSR48xx is RDS, RSW48xx is WDS — so confirm with the catalog number.

Reading the number: RSR = RDS (4.8mm) connection, RSW = WDS (6.5mm) connection. The first two digits are the implant diameter, the next two the length, and the suffix the collar (-2K = 1.8mm, -3K = 2.8mm). Example: RSR4110-3K is a 4.1 x 10mm implant with a 2.8mm collar on the RDS connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you carry a scan body or impression coping for the Stage-1 implant itself?

We do not carry scan bodies for any implant system. The Stage-1 connection is a locking taper with no rotational index, so no coping can index to the implant. Seat a COC Abutment and take the impression at abutment level with the transfer coping.

How do I remove the original indexed abutment?

Use the .062'' Hex Driver — it fits both RDS and WDS original indexed abutments (and fixed-detachable abutments). Once the abutment is out, restore with a COC Abutment of the matching connection.

Do you carry indexed abutment parts for the WDS connection?

No. Indexed abutment components are available for the RDS connection only: IS-REOAA-AL-LC (analog), IS-48IAPS-LC (plastic sleeve) and ITI-48EOSLIAF-LC (titanium locking sleeve). For a WDS implant, remove the indexed abutment with the .062'' driver and restore with a WDS COC Abutment.

Are Titan Design and original-design COC parts interchangeable?

No. TN- analogs and plastic sleeves fit Titan Design COC Abutments only, and IS-/ITI- components fit the original-design abutments. Match the parts to the abutment that is seated.

Which implants do Stage-1 components fit?

Keystone (Lifecore) Stage-1 single-stage implants. RDS 4.8mm connection: 3.3, 4.1 and 4.8mm implants. WDS 6.5mm connection: 4.8, 5.5 and 6.3mm implants. The 4.8mm implant came on both connections, so check the catalog number (RSR = RDS, RSW = WDS). Per the Keystone catalog, Stage-1 connections share geometry with Straumann ITI Regular Neck Ø4.8mm and Wide Neck Ø6.5mm implants.

What torque should I use?

COC Abutments: 30Ncm. Indexed abutment sleeve screws: 20Ncm. Hand-tighten with the Thumb Knob first, then verify with a torque wrench.
