Q: What is the difference between shouldered and non-shouldered abutments?

Shouldered abutments have a circumferential ledge at the base that provides a defined crown margin. Non-shouldered abutments have a smooth continuous taper, allowing the clinician to prepare the margin at a custom depth.

Q: Does Bicon use a screw?

Standard Bicon locking-taper is a friction fit with no screw. Titan also offers a screw-retained shouldered abutment option (BC-3A-PA).

What is the difference between shouldered and non-shouldered abutments?

Shouldered abutments have a circumferential ledge (shoulder) at the base of the post that sits flush with the top of the implant well, providing a defined margin for crown fabrication. Non-shouldered abutments have a smooth, continuous taper without that ledge, allowing the clinician to prepare the margin at a custom depth.

Does Bicon use a screw?

How do I choose between 2.0mm and 3.0mm post?
