Bicon® Compatible Abutments & Parts

Titan Implants manufactures compatible prosthetic components for Bicon locking-taper implants at our CNC facility in Bergenfield, New Jersey. Every component is machined from Grade 23 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) and verified against the original prosthetic specifications. Bicon’s locking-taper connection is a friction-fit system with no screw — components are organized by post diameter and implant well size.

2.0mm Post Components

For Bicon 3.0mm and 3.5mm diameter implants (2.0mm well). Components include shouldered abutments, non-shouldered abutments, implant analogs (stainless steel and aluminum), healing plug inserters/carriers, and fixture mount posts.

3.0mm Post Components

For Bicon 4.5mm, 5.0mm, and 6.0mm diameter implants (3.0mm well). Components include shouldered abutments, non-shouldered abutments (including the Titan Design octagonal anti-rotation abutment with internally threaded chimney for screw retention), healing abutments, implant analogs (stainless steel and aluminum), healing plug inserters/carriers, and fixture mount posts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between shouldered and non-shouldered abutments?

Shouldered abutments have a circumferential ledge (shoulder) at the base of the post that sits flush with the top of the implant well, providing a defined margin for crown fabrication. Non-shouldered abutments have a smooth, continuous taper without that ledge, allowing the clinician to prepare the margin at a custom depth.

Does Bicon use a screw?

The standard Bicon locking-taper connection is a friction fit with no abutment screw. However, the Titan Design BC-3A-PA non-shouldered abutment offers a screw-retained option via an internally threaded chimney with octagonal anti-rotation base.

How do I choose between 2.0mm and 3.0mm post?

Post size is determined by your implant well diameter. 2.0mm posts fit 3.0mm and 3.5mm diameter implants (2.0mm well). 3.0mm posts fit 4.5mm, 5.0mm, and 6.0mm diameter implants (3.0mm well).
