The One Driver Advantage

Every implant system uses a screw, and every screw needs a driver. Restore across several systems and a drawer fills with drivers — different hex sizes, square heads, latch tips — each one easy to grab by mistake and easy to strip a screw with. Titan designs its restorative components so that most of them are driven by a single hex, which is what we mean by the One Driver Advantage.

The most common driver sizes

The 0.050" (1.27mm) hex is the size most external hex systems require, and it drives the majority of Titan's abutment and prosthetic screws. If you standardize on one driver, this is the one.

Other sizes you may need, depending on system:

• 0.048" hex — several internal connection systems
• 1.25mm / 0.049" hex — common on internal hex platforms
• 0.035" and 0.040" hex — smaller-diameter and narrow platform screws
• Unigrip / Torx-style — Nobel Biocare internal connections
• Square head — Zimmer internal hex, and driver adapters that fit Nobel Biocare and Straumann torque wrenches
• Latch tip — for use in a contra-angle handpiece

• Zimmer Screw-Vent, TSV, TSX and internal hex platforms
• Biomet 3i / ZimVie external hex and Certain
• Straumann tissue level and bone level
• Nobel Biocare Brånemark external hex and NobelReplace tri-channel
• Astra Tech OsseoSpeed
• Keystone, Calcitek, IMZ, Steri-Oss and other legacy systems

For torque delivery, Titan supplies a standard torque wrench, a ratchet for square-top drivers, and square head screwdriver adapters that fit Nobel Biocare and Straumann torque wrenches you may already own.
