Our exclusive, in-house engineered components â what each is and how it's designed to be used.
Beyond our compatible-component line, Titan Implants engineers a series of exclusive products, each designed to address a specific restorative need. All are precision-machined in the USA from Grade 23 titanium. This guide describes what each product is and the applications it's designed for.
A Titan Implants exclusive with multiple stepped emergence profiles machined directly into the abutment body, designed to reduce the need to custom-contour the coronal anatomy chairside. Available in three prep heights (4.0mm, 5.5mm, 7.0mm) and three profile diameters (4.1mm, 5.0mm, 6.0mm). The stepped design lets the collar height and emergence diameter be selected to match soft-tissue depth and desired crown contour off the shelf. Designed for single-unit cementable restorations where an off-the-shelf emergence is preferred over chairside preparation or a custom-milled abutment.
A straight abutment with a flat-sided locking design that provides anti-rotation stability and defined abutment orientation. Available across 10+ platforms with the widest collar-height range in a compatible abutment (up to 1.0â5.5mm in 0.5mm increments, varies by platform). Designed for single-unit restorations where defined, off-the-shelf collar-height selection is preferred. On narrower platforms (e.g. 3.4mm), the design is suited to narrow ridges and anterior sites.
One of two straight-abutment options Titan offers for 3i Certain. The modifiable version has a wide emergence profile that can be re-shaped to a desired form for individually fabricated cementable crown and bridge restorations. Designed for cases where the emergence contour needs to be customized rather than accepting a fixed profile â a middle ground between a stock abutment and a fully custom-milled one. (The alternative is our SLIAF flat abutment for 3i Certain.)
A solid abutment for Straumann Tissue Level (SynOcta) with a hex machined at the coronal top for enhanced crown retention. The coronal hex does not interface with the implant â the octagon indexes the implant as usual, while the top hex provides the restoration additional anti-rotation grip. Available in RN (4.8mm) and WN (6.5mm) platforms. Designed for Straumann Tissue Level restorations where additional crown retention beyond a standard flat-sided solid abutment is desired.
Designed for Bicon 4.5/5.0/6.0mm diameter implants with a 3.0mm well. The shouldered design creates a defined margin for crown preparation and a natural emergence profile, and is intended for posterior restorations and larger anterior teeth where a defined shoulder margin is preferred. The Titan Design version adds an octagon base and internal thread for additional indexing during lab work. Precision-machined to minimize micro-gap on the Bicon locking-taper connection.
A precision-engineered, reusable tool that threads into the implant by hand to guide an abutment, impression coping, or plastic sleeve into a secure, snap-in fit. Available in multiple thread types (M1.6, M2, M2.5) and lengths, fitting Straumann tissue-level, Nobel Biocare Brånemark, and many other systems. Designed for seating components in sites with limited visibility or access: thread the pin in by hand, slide the component over it for a guided fit, then replace the pin with the appropriate screw. Also used in the lab for guiding components during fabrication.
