The TG implant connection is non-engaging, so the implant is restored at the abutment level. Titan does not carry scan bodies for any implant system.

3i TG Osseotite implant, non-engaging connection with no index

No coping fits the implant itself.
Order: a TG Hex Abutment Kit (4.8mm or 6.5mm) by phone, 1-201-439-0470.

TG Post seated

3i TG Post abutments TGPF04, TGPF55 and TGPF07: tapered post, rounded head, no hex

Non-engaging; it can't be impressed over.
Order: T-TGAD driver to remove it, then call to order a TG Hex Abutment Kit.

Original 3i TG Hex Abutment seated

No kit needed. 4.8mm only.
Order: T-48TGHAA analog, T-48TGIAIC coping, T-48TGIAPS castable.

Identify the Implant Platform

3i TG Osseotite implants, 4.8mm platform: 3.25mm, 4.0mm and 5.0mm diameters, 1.8mm and 2.8mm collars

3i TG Osseotite implants, 6.5mm platform: 5.0mm and 6.0mm diameters, 1.8mm collar

TG = trans-gingival: the implant's 1.8mm or 2.8mm collar passes through the tissue. The 5.0mm implant was made on both platforms, so confirm with the reference number.

Reading the number (4.8mm platform): first digit = collar (2 = 1.8mm, 3 = 2.8mm), second = diameter (3 = 3.25, 4 = 4.0, 5 = 5.0mm), last two = length (85 = 8.5mm, 10, 11 = 11.5mm, 13, 15). TG56xx and TG6xx are the 6.5mm platform.

Do you carry a scan body or impression coping for the 3i TG implant?

We do not carry scan bodies for any implant system. The TG implant connection is tapered and non-engaging, so no coping can index to the implant. Seat a TG Hex Abutment (sold as a kit) and take a conventional impression with the kit's coping.

Is the TG Hex Abutment sold separately?

No. The Titan Design TG Hex Abutment is sold as a kit only: abutment, analog, castable abutment (plastic sleeve), driver, and impression coping. Kits are sold to dentists only, are not returnable, and are ordered by phone at 1-201-439-0470.

I have an original 3i TG Hex Abutment seated. What do I order?

No kit needed. Order T-48TGHAA (analog), T-48TGIAIC (coping), and T-48TGIAPS (castable). Titan Design TN- components do not fit the original 3i abutment.

How do I identify a TG Post?

A one-piece tapered post with a small rounded head and no hex, in 4mm (TGPF04), 5.5mm (TGPF55), or 7mm (TGPF07) heights, anodized by length. Remove it with the TG Post Abutment Driver (T-TGAD).

Which implants do TG components fit?

Biomet 3i TG Osseotite implants. 4.8mm platform: 3.25, 4.0, and 5.0mm implants. 6.5mm platform: 5.0 and 6.0mm implants. The 5.0mm came on both platforms, so check the reference number.
