Biomet 3i Certain® Internal Hex Compatible Abutments & Parts

Titan Implants manufactures a full line of components compatible with Biomet 3i Certain internal hex implants, including T3 Certain, Osseotite Certain, Full Osseotite Certain, and Nanotite Certain fixtures. Every part is machined from Grade 23 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) at our facility in Bergenfield, New Jersey. Components are organized by the four color-coded platform sizes used across the Certain system.

Components by Platform

• Purple Platform (3.25mm body, 3.4mm seating surface): Healing abutments, impression copings, analogs, straight locking abutments, modifiable abutments, temporary abutments, castable abutments (hex and non-hex), bar posts, and ball abutments.
• Blue Platform (4.0mm body, 4.1mm seating surface): Same full component lineup as purple, plus healing abutments with multiple emergence profiles.
• Yellow Platform (5.0mm seating surface): Healing abutments, impression copings, analogs, straight locking abutments, modifiable abutments, temporary abutments, castable abutments, bar posts, and ball abutments.
• Green Platform (6.0mm seating surface): Healing abutments, impression copings, analogs, straight locking abutments, temporary abutments, and castable abutments.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I identify which Certain platform I need?

The Certain system uses color-coded platforms: purple (3.4mm), blue (4.1mm), yellow (5.0mm), and green (6.0mm). The platform color is typically documented in the patient’s surgical record or on the implant packaging.

Are Certain and 3i external hex components interchangeable?

No. The Certain internal hex connection is a completely different interface from the 3i external hex. Components cannot be swapped between them.

Which 3i Certain implant lines are compatible?

Titan’s Certain compatible components fit T3 Certain, Osseotite Certain, Full Osseotite Certain, and Nanotite Certain fixtures. Components are matched by the color-coded platform (purple, blue, yellow, or green), which is consistent across these implant lines.
