Conical abutments form a cold-weld morse taper connection with the implant body — a metal-to-metal seal that eliminates the microgap at the implant-abutment interface responsible for bacterial colonization and crestal bone loss. This connection design is widely used in tissue-level implant systems where the abutment platform sits at or just above the bone crest, making interface sealing particularly critical for long-term peri-implant health.

Compatible with STERI-OSS implant systems (External Hex). The conical taper engages the implant body under seating force, creating a friction-fit connection that resists micromotion without relying solely on screw pre-load. Machined to the system's taper angle.
