 Tips for Selecting the Emergence Profile and Collar Height

• Start with the healing abutment already in place — its profile and height often guide final abutment choice.
• Use the Titan Implant Locator Pin to verify parallelism and available height before final selection.
• Provide the lab with: implant platform size, soft tissue thickness, desired margin position, and photos/radiographs.
• When in doubt, select a slightly taller collar or wider profile — it’s easier to adjust than to add material later.

Match Emergence Profile Diameter to the Tooth Being Replaced

• • 3.5 mm → Best for anterior teeth or very conservative premolars. Creates a gentle, natural flare.
  • 4.5 mm → Most versatile. Excellent for premolars and some small molars. Provides good esthetics and hygiene.
  • 5.5 mm → Ideal for premolars/molars needing moderate width. Balances contour and cleansability.
  • 6.5 mm → Best for larger molars or wide emergence needs. Supports broad occlusal tables and strong proximal contacts.
