Healing abutment (healing cap / gingival former) for Biomet 3i External Hex 6.0mm. Placed at implant placement or uncovery to shape the soft tissue before the final restoration. Healing abutments are temporarily placed on top of the implant during surgery to shape the gum to the emergence profile planned for the permanent crown. The shape of the healing abutment can be flared to achieve smooth emergence profile from implant to crown or parallel-sided for narrow diameter teeth.
