Non-engaging titanium bar abutment for Steri-Oss Replace external hex implants on the 4.3mm platform. Used to build laser-welded bars for implant-retained overdentures and fixed-detachable restorations. Dimensionally inspected against our controlled drawings.

  • Non-engaging by design. Splinted frameworks need to seat passively across several implants at once. Engaging geometry on each abutment fights any divergence between fixtures and loads the framework as it draws down. Non-engaging lets the bar find its seat.
  • Weldable collar. The post is machined for laser welding to the bar segment. Adjust to height on the model, then weld.
  • Titanium to titanium. Machined from Grade 23 ELI titanium (Ti-6Al-4V ELI), so it welds to a titanium bar without a dissimilar-metal joint at the interface.
  • Parallelism drives the outcome. Check divergence across all fixtures before you commit to bar geometry. Correcting it after the weld means starting over.
  • Confirm the platform, not the brand. Steri-Oss ran multiple external hex platforms. 4.3mm is the Replace series — HL-Series parts are 3.8mm and 4.5mm and will not seat.

This platform is no longer manufactured by the original supplier. Titan Implants continues to machine compatible restorative components for it, so existing cases can be restored and maintained.

Verification of the seated implant platform and prosthetic connection prior to ordering is the responsibility of the treating clinician or laboratory.
