ZimVie / Biomet 3i External Hex 6.0mm Plastic Straight Locking Implant Abutment — T-6PSLIAF-01-4.0

All-plastic burnout pattern in the form of a straight locking abutment, for laboratories casting a custom abutment on the ZimVie / Biomet 3i external hex connection with a 6.0mm seating surface. Also called a UCLA-style castable abutment or waxing sleeve. Produced to the referenced system's original prosthetic specifications.

Molded entirely from burnout plastic with no metal base. Hexed — the pattern indexes over the 3i external hex during wax-up, so the anti-rotational geometry transfers to the finished casting. Suited to single-unit custom abutments.

4mm collar height. The 6.0mm platform is supplied in a single 4mm collar. Confirm measured soft-tissue depth suits a 4mm collar before ordering. Where a shallower collar is needed, the plain UCLA Castable Abutment (T-6PS) has no collar and lets the technician build the full profile in wax. The technician waxes and casts the coronal anatomy, which is useful where emergence angle or occlusal demands make a finished stock abutment unsuitable.

Where a machined interface is needed instead. A molded plastic connection carries greater tolerance than a machined metal one. Where minimal rotational play at the implant interface is the priority, a titanium base or gold cylinder is the better choice for the case.

Grade 23 ELI titanium (Ti-6Al-4V, ASTM F136) fixation screw included for bench positioning.

Titan Implant Locator Pin. A reusable seating and orientation tool made by Titan Implants, sold separately. Seats in place of the fixation screw during positioning, then is removed and replaced with the screw. Used to check the path of insertion across multiple units on the model.
